Many people were attacked by Tohoku district - off the Pacific Ocean Earthquake happened on March 11. The fate of many people remains unknown. JCR expresses its heartfelt sympathy to the attacked and wishes earliest possible recovery.

With the earthquake damages being unprecedented in size and area, it is difficult to grasp the whole picture of the impact and future outlook at the moment in detail. There is a concern that the damages will have extensive impact on the Japanese economy, and it is highly likely that they will have adverse effects on business operations including production activities of wide-ranging industries. JCR will make an effort to grasp effects on individual companies, watching movements in the future, and will determine ratings for them.
